أَتانيcame to me واردan inspiration يَدعوcalling حَثيثاurgently
أَتاني وارد يَدعو حَثيثا
فَفَضلتso I preferred الرَحيلdeparture عَلىover البَقاءstaying
فَفَضلت الرَحيل عَلى البَقاء
An inspiration came to me, calling urgently.
So I preferred departure to staying.
وَهاand here أَناI سابحswimming فيin بَحرa sea فَيضabundance
وَها أَنا سابح في بَحر فَيض
وَلاand not أَدريI know إِلىto أَينwhere اِنتِهائيmy ending
وَلا أَدري إِلى أَين اِنتِهائي
And here I am, swimming in a sea of abundance.
And I do not know where I shall end.
أَعزائيmy dear ones أَودعكمI bid you farewell بِروحيwith my soul
أَعزائي أَودعكم بِروحي
وَأَدعوكمand I call you إِليto صدقsincerity الإِخاءbrotherhood
وَأَدعوكم إِلي صدق الإِخاء
My dear ones, I bid you farewell with my soul.
And I call you to sincere brotherhood.
وَأَرجوand I ask for مِنكُمfrom you الإِخلاصsincerity دَوماًalways
وَأَرجو مِنكُم الإِخلاص دَوماً
وَأَوصيكُمand I counsel you بِتَقوىto be mindful of ذيthe possessor of العَطاءbounty
وَأَوصيكُم بِتَقوى ذي العَطاء
And I ask you always for sincerity.
And I counsel you to be mindful of the Possessor of bounty.
