جَزى اللَه المَحاكم كُل خَير

جَزى اللَه المَحاكم كُل خَير

لَما أَبَدَت مِن الصُنع الجَميل

May God reward the courts with every blessing,

May God reward the courts with all good

For the fine work they have displayed.

For the beautiful grace they have shown

لَقَد أَحيت لِمَولد خَير خَلق

أَبي الإِفضال ذي القَدر الجَليل

أَبي الإِفضال ذي القَدر الجَليل

They have indeed celebrated the birth of the best of creation,

They revived the birth of the best of creations

The father of beneficence, of exalted stature.

My father of great virtue and sublime stature

هُوَ الراقي ذرى شَرف وَمَجد

هُوَ الراقي ذرى شَرف وَمَجد

وَفي العَلياء مُنقَطع المَثيل

وَفي العَلياء مُنقَطع المَثيل

He ascends the summits of honor and glory,

He is the most virtuous, of noble repute

And in the heights he has no equal.

Peerless among the eminent

عَلَيهِ جَلالة المَولى تَجلَت

عَلَيهِ جَلالة المَولى تَجلَت

فَنالَ مِن العُلا أَبهى سَبيل

فَنالَ مِن العُلا أَبهى سَبيل

Upon him the Lord's majesty shone forth,

His Majesty's glory was manifest upon him

Thus he attained the most splendid path to eminence.

وَهَذي لَيلة جَمَعَت سُروراً

لِما فيها مِن المَجد الأَثيل

And this night has gathered joy,

This night has brought abundant joy

For the deep-rooted glory it holds.

For the venerable glory it contains

فَمَولده السَعيد لَكُم تَبدى

فَمَولده السَعيد لَكُم تَبدى

وَهَذا النُور مِن أَقوى دَليل

وَهَذا النُور مِن أَقوى دَليل

Thus his joyous birth has become manifest to you,

His auspicious birth is made clear to you

And this light is among the strongest proofs.

This light is solid proof

فَلا زالَت بِكُم تَزهو لَيال

فَلا زالَت بِكُم تَزهو لَيال

مَدى الأَيّام وَالعُمر الطَويل

مَدى الأَيّام وَالعُمر الطَويل

May nights never cease to be radiant with you,

May you continue to flourish through nights

Throughout the days and the long span of life.

For many days and a long lifetime

وُرُبَ الخَلق يَحفَظَكُم جَميعاً

وُرُبَ الخَلق يَحفَظَكُم جَميعاً

لِنَيل الفَضل وَالأَجر الجَزيل

لِنَيل الفَضل وَالأَجر الجَزيل

And may the Lord of creation preserve you all,

And may the Sustainer of creation preserve you all

To attain bounty and abundant reward.

For attaining abundant merit and reward

وَتِلكَ قَصيدة القوصي تَبَدَت

وَتِلكَ قَصيدة القوصي تَبَدَت

وَإِن كانَت مِن الكلم القَليل

وَإِن كانَت مِن الكلم القَليل

And that poem of al-Qusi has come forth,

That was a poem by Al-Quwsi that appeared
