عَوائق الدَهر وَالأَيام تَمنعني

عَن نَيل عَزى وَتَشريفي بِلقياك

عَن نَيل عَزى وَتَشريفي بِلقياك

The obstacles of time and days prevent me

The days and time stand in my way

From attaining my glory and being honored by meeting you.

Of finding solace and honor in seeing you

فَإَن سَمحت بِتَشريفي بَرؤيتكم

فَإَن سَمحت بِتَشريفي بَرؤيتكم

فَالسَعد في طالِعي مِن يَوم مرآكا

فَالسَعد في طالِعي مِن يَوم مرآكا

So if you grant me the honor of seeing you,

If you allow me the honor of seeing you

Then good fortune is in my ascendant from the day I behold you.

Joy in my fate since the day I saw you
