لِسانthe tongue سُعودكمyour good fortunes لَكُمto you تَلاهاrecited them
لِسان سُعودكم لَكُم تَلاها
On this feast day, verses of congratulations—
With this feast come tidings of joy
The tongue of your good fortune has recited them to you.
As my tongue recites congratulations to you
فَدُمتُمso may you remain كُلevery عيدfeast فيin سُرورjoy
فَدُمتُم كُل عيد في سُرور
وَعَنكُمand from you كُلevery مَكروهill تَلاهاturned away
وَعَنكُم كُل مَكروه تَلاها
So may you remain joyful at every feast,
May you remain every feast in delight
And may every ill turn away from you.
And far from you be every disliked thing
