برهان رفقك بالأنامْ

My lord, your example in fasting

My Master, may your guidance in fasting

is proof of your gentleness toward humankind.

Be proof of your kindness to mankind.

تبعوك فيه كما تبع

تبعوك فيه كما تبع

ت لنصرة الدين الإمام

ت لنصرة الدين الإمام

They followed you in it, just as you followed

They followed you in it as they followed

the Imam in support of the faith.

You as the Imam to aid the religion.

لك دعوة في الأرض ين

لك دعوة في الأرض ين

بو عن مضاربها الحسام

بو عن مضاربها الحسام

Yours is a call on earth;

You have a call on earth which cries out

the sword recoils from its encampments.

Against the unsheathing of its swords.

في الحرب غنمك يا ابن تو

في الحرب غنمك يا ابن تو

فيق كغنمك في السلام

فيق كغنمك في السلام

Your gains in war, O son of Tawfiq,

Your war booty, O Ibn Tawfiq,

are like your gains in peace.

Is like your booty in peace.

لبى بشيرك بالموا

لبى بشيرك بالموا

ثق كل شعب والذمام

ثق كل شعب والذمام

Your herald was answered with covenants

Your herald of good news was welcomed

and pledges by every nation.

By every people and community.

واشتد بين الأمتي

واشتد بين الأمتي

ن على محبتك الوئام

ن على محبتك الوئام

And between the two communities grew stronger

And intimacy has grown between the two faiths

the harmony founded on love for you.

Upon love for you.

والأمن في الأنوار أف

والأمن في الأنوار أف

ضل بعد خوف في ظلام

ضل بعد خوف في ظلام

And safety in the light is better

And security in the lights is more excellent

after fear in darkness.

After fear in darkness.

زكيت ملكك في ليا

زكيت ملكك في ليا

ل الشهر بالنعم الجسام

ل الشهر بالنعم الجسام

You purified your reign during the nights

You purified your kingdom in the nights

of the month with great benefactions.

Of the month with abundant favors.

في مالِكَ اشتركَ العفا

في مالِكَ اشتركَ العفا

ةُ وفي شرابك والطعام

ةُ وفي شرابك والطعام

The seekers of charity shared in your wealth,

In your wealth, the destitute shared

and in your drink and food.

And in your drink and food.

تكسوهم حللاً لها

تكسوهم حللاً لها

ما للمواسم من دوام

ما للمواسم من دوام

You clothe them in robes that have

You clothe them in robes which

the same endurance as the festive seasons.

Have what the seasons have of permanence.

تندى مطالعهم كنو

تندى مطالعهم كنو

رِ الروض باكره الغمام

رِ الروض باكره الغمام

Their faces glisten with dew like blossoms

Their horizons shine like the light

of a garden visited early by clouds.

Of the garden at the first drops of rain.

ورضاك أن تلقى الرعي

ورضاك أن تلقى الرعي

يَةَ في ارتياح وابتسام

يَةَ في ارتياح وابتسام

And your pleasure is to find your subjects

And your pleasure is to meet the flock

at ease and smiling.

In comfort and with a smile.

يا محييَ العيدين في ال

يا محييَ العيدين في ال

قطرين دمت لكل عام

قطرين دمت لكل عام

O reviver of the two feasts in the

O reviver of the two feasts in the

two lands, may you endure year after year.

Two regions, may you remain for every year,

أولى الملوك بمطلق ال

أحكام من صلى وصام

أحكام من صلى وصام

The king most worthy of absolute

The foremost of kings in absolute

rule is he who prays and fasts.

Decrees, who prayed and fasted,

وأحب ما احتفلوا به

وأحب ما احتفلوا به

أن يخلفَ الفوضى نظام

أن يخلفَ الفوضى نظام

And the dearest thing they have celebrated

And loved most what they celebrated,

is order taking the place of chaos.

That order replace chaos.
