And has never found a day with news of you
so he turns away while the blaze of longing sears him.
So he falters as the flames of longing scorch him
صِلواkeep in touch with فتىًa youth لوif جفاهshunned him الناسthe people كلهمُall of them
صِلوا فتىً لو جفاه الناس كلهمُ
فشأنكمfor your affairs عنin place of شؤونthe affairs of الناسthe people يغنيهِsuffice him
فشأنكم عن شؤون الناس يغنيهِ
Keep in touch with a youth who, even if everyone shunned him,
Connect with a youth who, if abandoned by all people,
would find your affairs enough, with no need for those of others.
For your ways suffice him independent of all people's affairs
