One day, while the enemies have pickaxes

My lord, support your supporters against them;
My Master, help your supporters against them
when you both unite, the deserter is transformed.
For if we cooperate, the coward will dissolve

Care for those who filled the land with demands for payment;
And the lofty, they filled the countries with litigation
perhaps the stalling debtor will pay them what is due.
So perhaps the due fulfiller will suffice for them

What excuse has one who lowers his eyes and grows angry whenever
What is the excuse of one who turns away and rages whenever
you advance, unless he bears a grudge?
You move forward, if not for his aggression?

Better for us the sternness of time, however harsh,
Better for us, the era's grandfather, even if harsh
than to be deceived by time in jest.
Than the deceiving, frivolous era
