Smiled, revealing cold hailstones.
ياO عجباwhat a wonder والواوand the wāw (the letter w) تلسعناstings us
يا عجبا والواو تلسعنا
والعينand the eye (ʿayn) ترميshoots سهمهاits arrow صائديmy hunter
والعين ترمي سهمها صائدي
O wonder! And the wāw stings us,
And the eye shoots its arrow—my hunter.
والعجبand the wonder العجابmost wondrous تكوينfashioning ذاthis
والعجب العجاب تكوين ذا
مجتمعgathered together فيin شادنyoung gazelle ناهدbudding-breasted
مجتمع في شادن ناهد
And the wonder of wonders is the fashioning of this,
Gathered together in a budding-breasted young gazelle.
