جعلتك دون النفس والأب والأم

جعلتك دون النفس والأب والأم

وحبّي ودون الخال والأخ والعم

وحبّي ودون الخال والأخ والعم

I have placed You before myself, my father and my mother,

I have placed you above my soul, father, and mother

and my beloved, and before my maternal uncle, my brother and my paternal uncle.

And above my love, uncle, brother and cousin

فيارب يا مولاي يا من تنزّهت

فيارب يا مولاي يا من تنزّهت

صفاتك عن شبه وكيف وعن كم

صفاتك عن شبه وكيف وعن كم

So, O Lord, O my Master, O You whose

So oh my Lord, my Master, oh You who are above

attributes transcend likeness, 'how,' and 'how much.'

Attributes, likeness, how and how much

فكن لي وليا ناصرا مشفعا ولا

فكن لي وليا ناصرا مشفعا ولا

تكلني إلى نفسي وأرحم من أم

تكلني إلى نفسي وأرحم من أم

So be my guardian, my helper, accepting intercession; and do not

So be for me a protecting intercessor, and do not

leave me to myself, and be more merciful than a mother.

Leave me to myself, and have mercy, more than a mother

ومن كادني ربي فكده وعاد من

ومن كادني ربي فكده وعاد من

يعاد وفرج كرية الهم والغم

يعاد وفرج كرية الهم والغم

And whoever plots against me, my Lord, plot against him; and oppose whoever

And whoever tries to harm me, my Lord, then harm him

opposes me, and relieve the distress of worry and grief.

And return the harm of the one who means harm, and relieve the worry and sadness
