Abu Musa, glad tidings to you, and welcome
O Musa, good tidings and welcome
To your caravan in the sanctuary of the best of humankind.
To your company in the sanctuary of the best of mankind

Among loved ones you met every generous soul,
You found every generous loved one
Faithful to his covenant, trustworthy in his pledged protection.
True to their covenant with the trustworthy protector
وَنِلتَand you gained بدارِهمin their home ماwhat رُمتَyou sought منهمfrom them
فهلso is there لكfor you بعدafter ذلكَthat منany مرامِaim
And in their home you gained what you sought from them;
And attained from their home what you sought
So have you any further aim after that?
So is there after that any other pursuit?

When the people's hearts grow tender, they are
When people's hearts are serene
Safe from the incurable disease.
They are cured of the plague of bitterness

The truths of things roam within them,
The realities of things wander in them
So some locks are broken open, and some seals.
Some seals break open, some remain enclosed

And they awaken those hearts when the worlds sleep,
And awakens them when existence slumbers
So they do not toy with sleepers' dreams.
No longer distracted by the dreams of sleepers

Abu Musa, you rose to a station
O Musa you embarked to a status
That is hard for those of mighty resolve.
That tries the souls of those with great ambitions

And through it you won life; no soul
And succeeded in gaining an undeserved life
That shuns it has anything but swift death.
That nothing but hated death can take away

The order of religion and worldly life together—
The system of religion and life completely
And can anything exist without order?
And is anything without a system?
