so take the path of those who work, and march.
So take the path of the diligent and walk.

The matter is serious, so we have no excuse
if we sleep while nations fly.
If we sleep while the nations soar.

Unparalleled among passing eras.

and there they appear after concealment.
So after being hidden they now appear.

From them drips dew, and in the clouds are eagles.

Oh people of mankind, if you do not rise up,
then living is ignorance, and life a delusion.
Then living is ignorance and life is vanity.

While the East is folded winged and fettered?

the creed of stagnation, nor shall we see it perish.
The religion of immobility, nor will it see us waning.

Life is events and affairs.

What is the state of one who casts down his weapon, shunning
while war swirls, stirring clouds of dust?
While around him the war, restless, turns?

And evils surge in the battle for survival.

The right to survival belongs to those who protect their principles,
and death befits the abject captive.
And death befits the subjugated and vile.

The country's right called for its dues to be paid,
and wealth is a small thing beside your country's due.
And money for the nation's right is trivial.

Egypt, the Quiver, complained of her thirst and called for rain;
Thirst complained its thirst and it rained,
so a prince poured like rain, and a hired laborer began to shower.
So a prince relented and a laborer began.
