He went round among the people, greeting the believers,

And calling out to all endowed with reason and faith.

A believer unshaken by any heresy

From the falsehoods of polytheistic preachers.

He vanquished the false god among its worshippers,

And decreed death upon them all.

    إِنَّما الدينُ لِرَبِّ العالَمينْ

    They made religion belong to the lords of desire;

Religion belongs only to the Lord of all worlds.

The brute is gone, and his era has passed,

And his traces were folded away among those long gone.

He beguiled the people, so they fell prostrate

To a god who arose from water and clay.

The vilest object of worship—around him fell to ruin

The vilest worshippers among the sons of Pharaoh.

He held command, so they came humbly,

And he formed his opinion, so they went off in submission.
