God is greatest, and the Imam is Muhammad.

Who would dispute or wrangle about them both?

The conquerors’ swords, through their guidance, abolished

the religion of unbelief and the creed of denial.

And religion in all kingdoms was never established

except by the edge of the keen, cleaving sword.

The sword is one of guidance’s messengers; no darkness ever fell

on a night that it left without daylight.

O army of the Caliph, none can overcome your might.

Who can withstand the onslaught of fate?

You plunged into the legions, their waves surging,

like the sea driving its swelling current.

You resembled Moses, except that you strike

with a more radiant blade, dazzling in its mysteries.
