    O company of humankind, you have wrought every terrifying deed,

    whose terrors fill the company of jinn with wonder.

    Do you not fear a Lord who has no fear of your

    might, when His decrees are unleashed and leap forth?

    أَلا لَهُ البَأسُ وَالهَيجاءُ وَالغَلَبُ

    Do not suppose this battle beyond His power;

    behold, might, battle, and triumph are His.

    The sword, fire, and armies are His power,

    and victory and conquest are what He grants and what He bestows.

    War kept wiping out every evil,

    until it fulfilled what was due to God.

    لا يَثبُتُ الأَمرُ وَالأَقطارُ تَضطَرِبُ

    It rose to stabilize an order that had remained unsettled;

    order cannot stand firm while the lands are in turmoil.

    Indeed, injustices and greed ensure

    that the peoples of the earth remain in ceaseless uproar.

    Blessed are you, an age in which usurpers are humbled,

    and those who ruled without usurping gain honor.

    Oppression never upholds a kingdom's throne,

    however long it endures, without that throne eventually toppling.
