يا رَبِّ أَصبَحنا نَخافُ العادِيا

يا رَبِّ أَصبَحنا نَخافُ العادِيا

يا رَبِّ لا نَبغي سِواكَ واقِيا

يا رَبِّ لا نَبغي سِواكَ واقِيا

O my Lord, we have come to fear the aggressor.

O Lord, we now fear the aggressors,

O my Lord, we seek no protector but You.

O Lord, we want no one but You as protector,

هَيِّئ لَنا أَمناً وَعَيشاً راضِيا

هَيِّئ لَنا أَمناً وَعَيشاً راضِيا

وَلا تَرُدَّ اليَومَ مِنّا داعِيا

وَلا تَرُدَّ اليَومَ مِنّا داعِيا

Provide us with safety and a life of contentment.

Grant us safety and a pleasant living,

And today turn away no supplicant from among us.

And turn not away today any supplicant,

إِنَّ العِدى قَد أَحدَثوا الدَواهِيا

إِنَّ العِدى قَد أَحدَثوا الدَواهِيا

وَرَوَّعوا الآباءَ وَالذَرارِيا

وَرَوَّعوا الآباءَ وَالذَرارِيا

Indeed, the enemies have wrought calamities.

For the enemies have bred havoc,

And terrorized fathers and children.

And frightened the elders and children,

وَغادَروا دينَكَ رَسماً عافِيا

وَغادَروا دينَكَ رَسماً عافِيا

وَزَلزَلوا أَعلامَهُ الرَواسِيا

وَزَلزَلوا أَعلامَهُ الرَواسِيا

And left Your religion a faded trace.

And abandoned Your religion, a healing custom,

And shook its firmly rooted landmarks.

And made its standards totter from the foundations,

يا رَبِّ زَلزِل خَصمَكَ المُناوِيا

يا رَبِّ زَلزِل خَصمَكَ المُناوِيا

وَلَقِّهِ مِنكَ الجَزاءَ الوافِيا

وَلَقِّهِ مِنكَ الجَزاءَ الوافِيا

O my Lord, shake Your hostile foe.

O Lord, make tremble Your hostile foe,

And make him receive his full recompense from You.

And give him from You sufficient punishment,

وَكُن لِما تَخشى النُفوسُ كافِيا

وَكُن لِما تَخشى النُفوسُ كافِيا

And be a sufficient safeguard against what souls fear.

And be for what souls dread, sufficient.
