شكوت من الدنيا فقالت ظلمتني
فقلتso I said ومنand whom اشكوI complain of فقالتso she said منof الناسpeople
فقلت ومن اشكو فقالت من الناس
I complained of the world, and she said, “You have wronged me.”
I complained to the world and she said, you have wronged me
So I said, “And of whom should I complain?” She said, “Of people.”
So I said, and who do I complain to? She said, the people
فقلتso I said فهمthen they يشكوننيthey complain of me انif شكوتهمI complain of them
فقلت فهم يشكونني ان شكوتهم
فقالتso she said اذاin that case فالصمتthen silence للمبتلىfor the afflicted آسىa healer
فقالت اذا فالصمت للمبتلى آسى
So I said, “Then they will complain of me if I complain of them.”
So I said, they complain about me if I complain to them
So she said, “In that case, silence is a healer for the afflicted.”
She said, then silence is the grief of the afflicted one
