“Why is the diligent man deprived?”
Why the hardworking is deprived
قالتshe said اذاwhen المرءthe man اثرىgrew wealthy
قالت اذا المرء اثرى
بغىhe sought الخنىlewdness والمحرمand what is forbidden
بغى الخنى والمحرم
She said, “When a man grows wealthy,
It said when one becomes rich
he seeks lewdness and what is forbidden.”
He craves for the forbidden and obscene
