Sol 6.1

  1. وجدت بني الدنيا جهولا وعالما

    فهذا له جدّ وذاك له جدّ

    I found the sons of this world ignorant and learned:

    So this one has luck, and that one diligence.

  2. وكلا تراه راضيا بالذي له

    وقد يستوي عند الرضى الحظ والحدّ

    And each you see content with what he has;

    With contentment, good fortune and privation may be alike.
