أسير هواه لن يستطيع صبرا
I would give my soul for the one I know; and my heart,
With my soul, I taught him, and my heart
Captive to his love, will not be able to endure patiently.
A prisoner of his love, cannot show patience
أغارI am jealous عليهover him وجداًin ardent love منof حروفletters
أغار عليه وجداً من حروف
يفوهhe speaks بهاwith them فتلثمand so they kiss منهof him ثغراa mouth
يفوه بها فتلثم منه ثغرا
In ardent love, I am jealous over him of the letters
I am jealous of him truly, of letters
He utters, which then kiss his mouth.
