Who will take me by my right hand
Who will take my hand,
To shield me from a guileless gazelle's cruelty?
Who will save me from the injustice of a fierce enemy?
ياO راحَتيmy comfort وَاِرتِياحيand my ease
يا راحَتي وَاِرتِياحي
وَبَهجَتيand my delight وَسُروريand my joy
وَبَهجَتي وَسُروري
O my comfort and my ease,
O my comfort and relaxation,
And my delight and my joy,
My joy and delight,
مِنfrom أَينَwhere آتيI come بِقَلبwith a heart
مِن أَينَ آتي بِقَلب
عَلىin the face of الصُدودrejection صَبورpatient
عَلى الصُدود صَبور
From where can I bring a heart
Where can I find a heart,
Patient in the face of rejection?
That is patient with estrangement?
إِنif كُنتَyou are تَهوىyou desire تَلافيmy ruin
إِن كُنتَ تَهوى تَلافي
رَضَيتُI am content بِالمَقدورwith what is decreed
رَضَيتُ بِالمَقدور
If you desire my ruin,
If you wish to turn away from me,
I am content with what is decreed.
I accept what is destined.
لاmay not بِتَّyou spend the night ياO مَنone who جَفانيhas forsaken me
لا بِتَّ يا مَن جَفاني
