سَتر  الناسُ  بالرياء  نفوساً

سَتر الناسُ بالرياء نفوساً

فاذا   زال  يظهر  التزييف

فاذا زال يظهر التزييف

People veiled their souls with hypocrisy.

People conceal with hypocrisy their souls

So when it falls away, the falseness is revealed.

So when it passes, deception is revealed

فعلى الصالحين سِترٌ كثيف

فعلى الصالحين سِترٌ كثيف

وعلى الطالحين ستر خفيف

وعلى الطالحين ستر خفيف

Thus over the righteous lies a thick veil,

Upon the righteous, a heavy veil

and over the wicked, a thin veil.

And upon the wicked, a thin veil
