إنيindeed I سئمتhave grown weary منof الحياةlife
إني سئمت من الحياة
ولمand has not يطلْlasted long منهاof it الأمدthe span of time
ولم يطلْ منها الأمد
Indeed, I have grown weary of life,
I am weary of life
and yet my time in it has not been long.
Though my days are not long
لهفيmy sorrow علىfor الخضرal-Khidr الذيwhom
لهفي على الخضر الذي
حكموهthey condemned him فيin عمرa lifetime الأبدeternity
حكموه في عمر الأبد
Alas for al-Khidr, whom
I yearn for the greenness that
they condemned to everlasting life.
