إني   كمقياس  جوٍّ

إني كمقياس جوٍّ

فعنه  بي استعيضُ

فعنه بي استعيضُ

Indeed, I am like a weather gauge;

I am like a weather vane

So I am used in its place.

It is through me the weather is known

فان  أَفقتٌ  مريضاً

فان أَفقتٌ مريضاً

فالجوّ مثلي مريض

فالجوّ مثلي مريض

So if I wake up ill,

If I become sick

Then the weather, like me, is ill.

The weather like me is sick
