ما  هذه  الدنيا وما أختها

ما هذه الدنيا وما أختها

I brought into being a world of poems.

A world of poetry I have created,

It is neither this world nor its sister.

What is this world, and what is its sister?

دنيايَ  لا  يدخلها شاعر

دنيايَ لا يدخلها شاعر

فتحتُها   حيناً   وأغلقتها

فتحتُها حيناً وأغلقتها

My world—no poet enters it.

My world, no poet may enter it.

I opened it for a while and closed it.

I opened it once, then closed it shut.
