Oh time of our contentment, will you return
And repeat our days of union?
May the pacts of protection be as we knew them-
How excellent, if those pacts remained!
What blessings we had in the favors fulfilled
By a union from which the envious fled!
O tribespeople of the protected lands, you have pitched
In my heart a garden for love with ample fuel.
