قالوا جننتِ به فقلتُ لهم نعمْ

قالوا جننتِ به فقلتُ لهم نعمْ

وأحبّ أن يزداد فيه جنوني

وأحبّ أن يزداد فيه جنوني

They said, “You have gone mad over him.” I told them, “Yes.”

They said you are crazy about him, I said yes

And I love for my madness over him to grow.

And I love that my craziness for him grows

جهِلوا .. فلامُوا في الهوى فعَذرْتُهم

جهِلوا .. فلامُوا في الهوى فعَذرْتُهم

لو أبصروا عينيهِ .. ما لامونِي

لو أبصروا عينيهِ .. ما لامونِي

They did not understand, so they blamed me for loving; so I excused them.

They are ignorant.. They blame me for my love, so I forgive them

Had they seen his eyes, they would not have blamed me.

If they could see his eyes.. They wouldn't blame me
