بكتكwept for you الروحthe soul قبلbefore العينthe eye شوقاًin longing
بكتك الروح قبل العين شوقاً
يكادalmost لهbecause of it الحشاthe heart كمداًwith grief يذوبُmelts
يكاد له الحشا كمداً يذوبُ
The soul wept for you in longing before the eye did;
Your soul wept for me before your eyes did, yearning,
Because of it, the heart almost melts with grief.
Nearly melting the stones like wax.
بربّكَby your Lord بعدafter أنthat جاوزتَyou overstepped حداًa limit
بربّكَ بعد أن جاوزتَ حداً
منof الهجرانestrangement مالكwhat ails you لاnot تؤوبُyou return ؟!
من الهجران مالك لا تؤوبُ ؟!
By your Lord, now that you have overstepped the bounds
I adjure you by your Lord after you have crossed a limit
Of estrangement, why do you not return?!
In estrangement - have you no remorse?!
