سبحانهGlory be to Him كيفَhow مدّspread الحبّlove معجزةًa miracle
سبحانه كيفَ مدّ الحبّ معجزةً
أحيتrevived فؤاديmy heart .. وبالأشواقand with longings أرساهاHe anchored it
أحيت فؤادي .. وبالأشواق أرساها
Glory be to Him—how He spread love as a miracle,
Glory to Him, how love spread miraculously
That revived my heart, and with longings He anchored it.
It revived my heart.. and established it with yearning
سبحانهGlory be to Him .. بجميلwith one beautiful in الروحspirit .. أكرمنيHe honored me
سبحانه .. بجميل الروح .. أكرمني
واختارand chose ليfor me منfrom among عيونeyes الناسpeople أحلاهاthe sweetest of them
واختار لي من عيون الناس أحلاها
Glory be to Him—He honored me with one beautiful in spirit,
Glory to Him.. With the beauty of the spirit, He blessed me
And chose for me the sweetest of people's eyes.
And chose for me from the eyes of people, the most beautiful
كأنّas though ربّيmy Lord وقدand indeed سوّاكَfashioned you ليfor me ملَكًاan angel
كأنّ ربّي وقد سوّاكَ لي ملَكًا
سوّىmade الخلائقَall creatures فيin عينيّmy two eyes .. أشباهاlook-alikes
سوّى الخلائقَ في عينيّ .. أشباها
As though my Lord, having fashioned you as an angel for me,
It's as if my Lord created you as an angel for me
Made all creatures look alike in my eyes.
And made all creations in my eyes.. resemble you
