كالزرعِ يخرجُ شطْأَه فإذا استوَى
غلُظَit grew thick .. اتّقاءto guard against قساوةِthe harshness of الإعصارِthe hurricane
غلُظَ .. اتّقاء قساوةِ الإعصارِ
like a crop that sends forth its shoots and, when it stands upright,
grows thick to guard against the hurricane's harshness.
قدريmy fate هواكَloving you فكيفso how ليfor me أنto أتّقيI shield myself from

شغفَthe passion of الريَاحِthe winds .. ولوعةَand the burning anguish of التيّارthe current
شغفَ الريَاحِ .. ولوعةَ التيّار
