وأتركُ في سوى صحبي العتابا

Reproach the one the heart holds dear,

I reproach those for whom my heart holds affection,

and with all but my friends, I leave reproach aside.

And withhold reproach from all but my companions.

فإن آليت صمتاً .. ثق بأني

فإن آليت صمتاً .. ثق بأني

سأغلقُ دونهم صدراً و بابا

For if I vow myself to silence, be certain that I

shall close both heart and door against them.

Will shut my breast and my door against them.
