يُخفي الغرامَ وعينه تبديهِ

يُخفي الغرامَ وعينه تبديهِ

وبزيفِ صدٍّ إن دنا .. يُقصيه

He hides his passion, yet his eye reveals it.

And with feigned rejection, he drives him away if he draws near.

قسماً لقد بانَ الذي في قلبهِ

قسماً لقد بانَ الذي في قلبهِ

و وَشَى به ما كادَ أن يُرديه

و وَشَى به ما كادَ أن يُرديه

I swear, what is in his heart has become plain.

And what nearly destroyed him has given him away.
