You abandoned me, and abandonment scattered me in vain

2. You took away a lifetime – which I wasted on you
You fragmented it into pieces that faded into the horizon

3. If only I never knew you at all
If only I never loved you all over again

4. Where is he whom I offered? Despite the betrayal
Where is he whom I befriended so he reciprocated?

5. Where is my passion, my fervor, and loyalty
That turned into rubble in the valleys, demolished

6. Where is the purity – woe to me, it was disturbed by longing
And our nights became stoned, repelled

7. The melodies of love in our life passed
As a dream that dispersed into the gloom and vanished

8. You dressed me in the garb of remorse and wronged me
And blinded me, when I thought you eternally faithful

9. You witnessed the battlefield of passion in my blood
Yet you turned away from it, so it became lost

10. You tore apart in disdain the bonds of our longing
When I was the one who secured your love since it began

11. I was the one who quenched it for you sincerely
And devoted your heart – in my prime, singularly

12. I was the one who inspired it in you genuinely
I was the one who nurtured it so it prospered

13. I was the one who sheltered your longing whenever
A raging wind stirred it, raging and foaming

14. I was the one who blended it with my essence for you
Yet you peeled it off its soul, separating entirely

15. You wished my murder without any crime
And I wished you remain the most blissful

16. You forgot a bond I reaped for you
And rewarded me with cruel estrangement and suppression

17. You quenched me with the washing of wounds, and still
You keep quenching my garden’s pus in the cup of discord

18. You sipped from my sweat a sincere feeling
Then left it when it dried, after the dew

19. You wreaked havoc in my soul, blaming regretfully
And left my breaths as a dark flame

20. You invaded my depths with overwhelming yearning
Then left them torn, for ruin to desecrate

21. You tested me with longing that pierces my mind
And I scattered it for you, dreaming and delirious

22. I wiped your tears – I'd ransom them – with my ribs
You broke a rib – exhausted in your infatuation

23. Woe to me from you, for I was used to you as a companion
And now separation accompanies me, blazing

24. What can I seek now in my life except
A specter that tears apart my mind like a spear tomorrow?

25. I endured your anger – and forgiveness is in my hand
While you accompanied my pains, blaming and thunderous

26. You tormented my soft hymns after
The birds of passion sang and trilled to them

27. And you complained of me, when I complain of injustice
And you wept from me, wronging and defiant

28. You spread your words, provoking and menacing
Yet in your misguidance, you remained the master

29. You ignited my rhyme, so my poetry has become
Lightning that races my anguish deliberately

30. Say, denying, say, resentful, say angry
Say what you wish – with threatening words

31. I found you a rebel who never calms
Never hoping for my relief, unforgiving

32. I found you since you were born pampered
Receiving concubines – bowing in your court

33. I found your perception of me ugly and spiteful
When my certainty wove you the finest

34. Did you forget the taste of union with me – a wine
And flee from my embrace to cast me away?

35. Did you forget your sullen, scowling silence
Which I leveled with my comfort, so it softened?

36. You carved my days on the wood of longing
I weep my humiliation, when you forgot the tryst

37. Come and atone for your sins, submitting
I shackled my heart forcibly, so it was shackled

38. I'm now innocent of blame that passed
I rallied my words to burn, so they rallied
