    Behold, indeed the best of people, in life and in death,

    The graves have hidden him in the valley of Ashiyy.

    Umm Wahb laments her father, who has gone far away,

    And Rayshan now lies between her and him, and Yahabir too.

    لَقَد بَلَغَت كَظَّ النُفوسِ الحَناجِرُ

    They departed, and Abu Umayyah was not among them;

    Indeed, their throats have reached the point of choking their souls.

    You see his house: its midst is never without

    Bellowing, well-fed white camels and cattle.

    إِذا أَرمَلوا زاداً فَإِنَّكِ عاقِرُ

    He often strikes the fat beasts' shanks with the sword's blade;

    When they run out of provisions, you are the slaughterer.

    And if there is no fresh meat, then indeed

    Their teats, flowing with milk, are stroked to draw milk for them.

    So God's household wakes fair, as though

    Raydah and Ma'afir had clothed them in fine patterned cloth.
