قد بَرَّح الشوقُ بمشتاقك

قد بَرَّح الشوقُ بمشتاقك

فأَولِهِ أحسنَ اخلاقك

فأَولِهِ أحسنَ اخلاقك

Longing has grievously tormented your lover;

Indeed, longing has sorely tormented the one who longs for you.

so favor him with the finest of your graces.

So show him your noblest qualities.

لا تَجفُهُ وارعَ له حقَّهُ

لا تَجفُهُ وارعَ له حقَّهُ

فإنه خاتِمُ عُشَّاقِك

فإنه خاتِمُ عُشَّاقِك

Do not spurn him; honor the claim that is his,

Do not spurn him, and honor his due.

for he is the seal of all your lovers.

For he is the last of your lovers.
