ياO عُثمُʿUthm أَدرِكنيcome to my aid فَإِنَّfor indeed رَكِيَّتيmy well
يا عُثمُ أَدرِكني فَإِنَّ رَكِيَّتي
صَلَدَتhas run dry فَأَعيَتand so proved unable أنto تَبِضَّseep بِمائِهاwith its water
صَلَدَت فَأَعيَت أن تَبِضَّ بِمائِها
O ʿUthm, come to my aid, for my well
O Uthman, reach me, for my she-camel is worn out,
has run dry and cannot let its water seep.
