معالمُlandmarks يفنىperishes كلّevery شيءthing وإنهاand indeed they
معالمُ يفنى كلّ شيء وإنها
مجددةrenewed فيin قلبheart كلّevery موحدbeliever in God's oneness
مجددة في قلب كلّ موحد
Landmarks—everything perishes, yet they
are renewed in the heart of every believer in God's oneness.
نلوذwe seek refuge بهاin them حساًphysically ومعنىand spiritually فننثنيso we return
نلوذ بها حساً ومعنى فننثني
بماwith what نشتهيهwe desire it بينbetween قبرa grave ومسجدand a mosque
بما نشتهيه بين قبر ومسجد
We seek refuge in them, physically and spiritually, then return
with what we desire, between a grave and a mosque.
ومنand who ذاthis one الذيwho تُعيِيهِthwarts him أوجهُpaths مطلبa goal
ومن ذا الذي تُعيِيهِ أوجهُ مطلب
تناولهاhe pursued them مستشفعاًseeking intercession بمحمدthrough Muhammad
تناولها مستشفعاً بمحمد
And who could be thwarted by the paths to a goal,
having pursued them while seeking Muhammad's intercession?
