رَسولُكَyour messenger الخَطِّيُّthe Khattī spear يَومَon the day of الوَغىbattle
تُردِفُهُyou follow it up بِالأَبيَضِwith the white sword الصارِمِkeen-edged
Your messenger on battle's day is the Khattī spear;
Your envoy on the day of turmoil
you follow it with the white, keen-edged sword.
Backed by the fierce white force
مَنwhoever نامَslept عَنheedless of مَكرُمَةٍa noble deed عامِداًdeliberately

Whoever deliberately sleeps through a noble deed—
Whoever slept intentionally avoiding generosity
you, however, are never asleep to it.
You won't sleep forever, o sleeper
لَمnot يُرَwas seen فيamong عِترَتِهِhis kin مِثلُهُhis equal

None among his kin has been seen to equal him
None in his family was like him
in securing justice for the wronged against an oppressor.
He was just, siding with the wronged against the oppressor
لَكِنَّهُbut he يَمطُلُdelays payment of حَقّاًa rightful due مَضىwas confirmed

But he delays payment of a due already confirmed
But he delays a right long past
for me by a judge's written ruling.
For which I appeal to the ruler
