أُعطيتَyou were granted مِنof نَفَحاتِwafts الحُسنِbeauty أَسناهاtheir most radiant
أُعطيتَ مِن نَفَحاتِ الحُسنِ أَسناها
وَفُقتَand you surpassed مِنof نَفَحاتِwafts الطيبِperfume أَذكاهاtheir most fragrant
وَفُقتَ مِن نَفَحاتِ الطيبِ أَذكاها
You were granted the most sublime of beauty’s breaths,
You were granted the most radiant of beauty's wafts.
And exalted by the most fragrant of perfume’s breaths.
And you surpassed the most fragrant of perfume's wafts.
فَالحُسنُso beauty مُطَّرَحٌcast aside وَالطيبُand perfume مُفتَضَحٌput to shame
فَالحُسنُ مُطَّرَحٌ وَالطيبُ مُفتَضَحٌ
وَالحورُand the houris أَصبَحتَyou have become بَعدَafter اللَهِGod مَولاهاtheir master
وَالحورُ أَصبَحتَ بَعدَ اللَهِ مَولاها
Thus beauty lies discarded, and perfume stands shamed;
So beauty is cast aside, and perfume put to shame.
And as for the houris, you have become, after God, their lord.
And you have become, after God, the houris' master.

Whoever has never seen a sun born of a mortal’s radiance—
If anyone has never seen a sun of human radiance,
In Ali, we have surely seen it.
then we have indeed seen it in Ali.
