When he whose charms are famed goes out in the evening or morning,

Gentle on the gaze of winking eyes,

Then whoever's eyes have not won a glimpse of him

Has won no good in life.

When his gaze unsheathes the sword of beauty and calls out

To the people's hearts, 'Is there any challenger?'

I was powerless, so my heart surrendered to his gaze,

Though it is not powerless against anyone else.
