O namesake of him who fervently supplicated, calling
O virtuous one who prays devoutly
Upon his Lord, sincerely devoted to Him, in “Say: It has been revealed.”
Calling on his Lord with a sincere heart

And you who resemble him whom the caravan carried
And resembling one whom misfortune has humbled
Away from the well, bowed like one exhausted;
Bowing like a young plant

And you, for whom my soul yearns, bearing an honorific byname
And the one my soul yearns for
After the noble Messenger who came after the Messiah.
After the noble Messiah

Today the two eyes of a love-stricken man spoke eloquently;
Today he speaks eloquently with intense passion
They voiced the innermost thoughts of a wounded heart.
Uttering from a heartfilled with wisdom
