يا شادِناً صيغَ مِنَ الشَمسِ

يا شادِناً صيغَ مِنَ الشَمسِ

تِه بِالمَلاحاتِ عَلى الإِنسِ

تِه بِالمَلاحاتِ عَلى الإِنسِ

O fawn fashioned from the sun,

O Sun, molded in beauty

Glory in your charms above humankind.

And adorned with radiance upon mankind

في كُلِّ يَومٍ أَنتَ في صورَةٍ

في كُلِّ يَومٍ أَنتَ في صورَةٍ

غَيرِ الَتي كُنتَ بِها أَمسِ

غَيرِ الَتي كُنتَ بِها أَمسِ

Each day you appear in a form

Each day you take a different form

Different from the one you had yesterday.

Than the one you had yesterday

تَزدادُ طيباً كُلَّ يَومٍ كَما

تَزدادُ طيباً كُلَّ يَومٍ كَما

يَزدادُ غُصنُ البانِ في الغَرسِ

يَزدادُ غُصنُ البانِ في الغَرسِ

You grow sweeter every day, just as

You grow more beautiful each day

A branch of the bān tree grows where planted.

As a sapling grows lovelier with nurturing

وَاللَهِ لَولا اللَهُ لا غَيرُهُ

وَاللَهِ لَولا اللَهُ لا غَيرُهُ

وَخَوفيَ النارَ عَلى نَفسي

وَخَوفيَ النارَ عَلى نَفسي

By God, were it not for God—none other—

By Allah, if not for Allah above all

And my fear of Hellfire for my soul,

And my fear of the fire upon my soul

صَلَّيتُ خَمساً لَكَ مِن هَيبَةٍ

صَلَّيتُ خَمساً لَكَ مِن هَيبَةٍ

وَاِزدَدتُ ثِنتَينِ عَلى الخَمسِ

وَاِزدَدتُ ثِنتَينِ عَلى الخَمسِ

I would have prayed to you five times in awe,

I would have prayed five prayers for you in awe

And added two more to the five.
