Beauty has crafted its jewels upon your cheeks

    Whereupon applies rouge the apple

And all beauty stems first from your eyes

Since Harut designed his armies in your eyes

And your cheeks once shone bright, flawless

But since the glance took control, it paled them

My heart is hostage to the hands of a willful coquette

Who kills it then restores it whenever she desires
