Woe to you! Submit to the One, the Creator.

Indeed, in the throat is a guide to death.

When God's decree unfolds, there is no use

    in plucking or thin coatings.

I have recalled your stinginess toward me

through a book, O you of foolish character.

A book of short poems is not what I call

it; rather, it is a dowry deed.

What free woman among people ever bestowed

the dowry on a lover after divorce?
