O you who feel no tenderness for your lovers,

And who have mingled rejection of us with haughtiness,

And before whom beauty has prostrated itself in submission,

And from whom beauty has spread to all those nearby:

You are the sun’s offspring—may my soul be your ransom!

And does the sun’s offspring have any equal?

You are perfect in loveliness and excel in elegance,

So you are refined, with no flaw in you.
