صَغيرٌ صَرَفْتُ إِلَيْهِ الهَوى

صَغيرٌ صَرَفْتُ إِلَيْهِ الهَوى

وهَلْ خَاتَمٌ في سِوى خَنْصَر

وهَلْ خَاتَمٌ في سِوى خَنْصَر

A little one—to him I have turned my love.

And is a ring worn on any finger but the little finger?

فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَاعْذُرْ ولا تلحني

فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَاعْذُرْ ولا تلحني

وإِنْ شِئْتَ فَالْحُ ولا تعذر

وإِنْ شِئْتَ فَالْحُ ولا تعذر

So if you wish, excuse me and do not reproach me;

And if you wish, reproach me and do not excuse me.
