مَن يَزدَري الكَبشَ في الدُنيا وَيَحقِرُهُ

مَن يَزدَري الكَبشَ في الدُنيا وَيَحقِرُهُ

فَإِنَّهُ رَأسُ أَهلِ النارِ في النارِ

فَإِنَّهُ رَأسُ أَهلِ النارِ في النارِ

Who would scorn the ram in this world and belittle it?

He who scorns the lamb in this life and holds it in contempt

Whoever disdains the Ram in this world and holds him in contempt,

For it is the chief of Hell’s inhabitants, in Hell.

Is the chief of the people of Hell in Hellfire

He is the very head of the people of the Fire, within the Fire.

المَرءُ يَضعُفُ عَن إِسخاطِ صاحِبِهِ

المَرءُ يَضعُفُ عَن إِسخاطِ صاحِبِهِ

وَالكَبشُ يَبلُغُ سُخطَ الخالِقِ الباري

وَالكَبشُ يَبلُغُ سُخطَ الخالِقِ الباري

A man is too weak to anger his companion,

A man is too weak to anger his companion

A man is too frail to provoke the anger of his companion,

Yet the ram incurs the wrath of the Creator, the Maker.

While the lamb invokes the wrath of the Creator

Yet the Ram incurs the wrath of the Creator, the Maker.
