O describer of boys in his poetry,

You, by my Lord, are foremost among them.

You described fifty and distinguished them,

And you—you are the doe with a fawn.

Away from us—and leave them, or their description, aside.

You, by my Lord, are more beautiful than they are.

O goose, whose like grow scarce,

And the most abundant flesh has followed her.

I said, while the turn was not yet over:

Be gentle, my beloved; you are in a hurry.
