May God send blessings upon Lot and his faction,

Abu Ubayda, say “Amen,” by God.

Say Amen, O Abi Ubaidah

O Abu 'Ubaydah, say, by God, "Amen!"

فَأَنتَ عِندي بِلا شَكٍّ بَقِيَّتُهُم

فَأَنتَ عِندي بِلا شَكٍّ بَقِيَّتُهُم

مُنذُ اِحتَلَمتَ وَقَد جاوَزتَ سَبعينا

مُنذُ اِحتَلَمتَ وَقَد جاوَزتَ سَبعينا

For you, in my view, are without doubt their surviving remnant,

You are surely the last of them in my view

For you are, in my eyes, undoubtedly their remnant,

ever since you reached puberty—and you have passed seventy.

Since you reached puberty and are now past seventy

Since you came of age, and now having passed seventy.
