لُبابُLubab تَكَبَّريbe proud فَوقَabove الجَواريthe maidens
فَإِنَّfor indeed أَباكِyour father أَعتَبَهُhas made amends to him الزَمانُtime
Lubab, hold yourself proudly above the maidens,
Your pride towers above the maidens
Lubab, walk proudly high above the maidens,
For time has made amends to your father.
For time has chastened your father
For Time has made amends unto your father.
مَتىwhenever أَجمَعI bring together أَباAbu (father of) نَصرٍNasr وَمِصراًand Egypt
فَماthen there is no لِلدَهرِfor time بَينَهُماbetween the two of them مَكانُplace
Whenever I bring Abu Nasr and Egypt together,
Whenever I bring together Abu Nasr and Egypt
When I unite Abu Nasr with the land of Egypt,
There is no place for time between them.
Time has no place between them
Fate finds no room to intervene between them.
فَتىًa young man يَوماهُhis two days ليfor me فِطرٌEid al-Fitr وَأَضحىand Eid al-Adha

A young man whose two days are, for me, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha,
A youth whose days are for me a Feast of the Breaking of the Fast and the Day of Immolation
A youth whose days are to me both Fitr and Adha,
And Nowruz and Mihragan are counted too.
And Nayruz counted as a festival
Reckoned as Nayruz and as Mihrajan.
