نُبِّئتُ في آلِ زيادٍ فتى

نُبِّئتُ في آلِ زيادٍ فتى

يلقّبُ اليُؤيُؤ حلوٌ ظريف

يلقّبُ اليُؤيُؤ حلوٌ ظريف

I was told of a youth among the family of Ziyad,

I was told of a youth in the family of Ziyad

I have been told of a lad among the clan of Ziyad,

nicknamed al-Yuʾyuʾ ('the Merlin'), sweet and charming.

Nicknamed “the gentle”, he is sweet and charming

Nicknamed 'The Merlin,' who is sweet and witty,

يبذلُ للزوّارِ وجعاءهُ

يبذلُ للزوّارِ وجعاءهُ

صيانةٌ منه لعِرضِ الرغيف

صيانةٌ منه لعِرضِ الرغيف

He offers his sore anus to visitors,

He offers to visitors his pains

He offers his backside to his visitors,

to safeguard the honor of the loaf.

Protecting through this the honor of bread

To preserve thereby the honor of the loaf,

وإنّ في النيكِ لمستمتعاً

وإنّ في النيكِ لمستمتعاً

عنه اعتياضُ الخبزِ للمستضيف

عنه اعتياضُ الخبزِ للمستضيف

And in fucking there is surely a pleasure,

He takes pleasure in doing good

For truly, in fucking there is an enjoyment,

for which the guest takes bread in exchange.

Not used to receiving bread as a guest

That serves the guest in place of bread.
